From True Crime Daily: In November 2014, prosecutors charged Adam with first-degree murder, and he went to trial in January 2017. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, though he continues to maintain his innocence. Adam appealed the ruling, but in 2019, the Florida appeals court maintained his conviction. The Florida Supreme Court denied a request to review his case, as did the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2022, he filed a motion to vacate the conviction and sentencing.
